Applications are now open for 4mations Digital Shorts, a new scheme set up to fund 13 animated shorts across the UK.

The scheme is backed by the UK Film Council’s New Cinema Fund, Channel 4 and strategic partners throughout the UK – this region’s partner being Northern Film & Media.

Ambitious, original and thought-provoking narrative driven proposals are being sought from emerging animation talent. While the preferred running time is three minutes, entries of up to seven minutes will be accepted. One film will be commissioned through the 4mations Digital Shorts Scheme at a budget of £15,000.
